We do not need oil. Oil fought over, presumably only as long as people buy it. If people would put miniscule fraction of their time and resources, in industrialized areas by themselves, physically, take a hammer and start doing, we do not need oil.

Idea for simple and fast to make flexible wing, that could act as kite for hauling "Windbelt" -type self-doable wind generator to hundreds of meters of altitude where wind might be sufficient to make this approach more effective in electricity generation than building a more complex and lower tower for otherwise bigger wind turbine.
